REPORTS OF and ABOUT TRIANGULAR-SHAPED
UFO and SIMILAR UNIDENTIFIED AERIAL OBJECTS DATING FROM 1871 TO THE PRESENT
REPORTS DRAWN FROM VARIOUS SOURCES,
INCLUDING APRO, NICAP, International UFO Reporter (IUR), MUFON Journal,
Phenomenon Research Association, NUFORC, Flying Saucer Review, and others.
Many thanks are in order to David Marler,
State Director of
Illinois MUFON, who, in addition to conducting an in-depth
investigation of the events of January 5, 2000, has worked tirelessly in
bringing information to the public regarding the reality of UFOs. Mr. Marler
has provided for publication at this website, over 300 documents that
indicate a long history, possibly dating back to 1871, that
triangular-shaped craft of various types have been with us much longer than
most contemporary researchers acknowledge. The triangle UFO phenomenon is
not a recent (1985-2005) development that can be explained purely in terms
of human-military black project aircraft. Again, my thanks to David Marler, who
has brought this long history to light.
REGARDING THE REPORTS HEREIN LINKED:
A) REPORTS INCLUDED: These reports,
notes and observations are not implied to be an exact match for the
triangular UFO seen over Illinois on January 5, 2000. These reports do
include however, many UFO sightings of craft which are distinctly triangular
in shape as well as those which are similar or could be triangular. No
claims are being made that all the linked reports are one specific type of
triangular UFO; for as those who have studied the UFO phenomenon know, UFO
shapes and sizes vary widely.
B) FINDING THE TRIANGLE REPORT: In the
records included on this page, many times a report or a mention of a
triangular-shaped UFO is only a small blurb on a page covering sightings of
non-triangular UFOs. Often, the relevant copy in the JPEG scan is hand-underlined to
help the reader locate the material.
C) FILENAMES: Sometimes, a report
consists of multiple pages; thus, in the filename, a number will follow the letter "p", for page,
when this is the case. For example, "1957_02p2 fsr.JPG" =
year 1957, second
document, page 2, Flying Saucer Review).
D) VIEWING: The following links are large JPEG
scans. If opening in a browser, use the pop-up button at the lower right
hand corner of the JPEG image to enlarge the image to full size. If opening
in a viewer, rolling the mouse wheel may enlarge and reduce the image for
ease of viewing.
E) RIGHTS: In most cases, permission has
been granted to post the following material. Where not, we defer to
Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107,
whereas it is stated that such material may distributed without profit to
those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included
information for research and educational purposes.
Again, I thank and congratulate
David Marler
for his seminal work in investigation, research and
dissemination of data surrounding the triangle UFO question, as well as his
groundbreaking presentation regarding the long history of triangular UFOs at the 2005

Springs, Arkansas, USA. - Darryl. Barker
